Nutrition and Diet

 

Nutrition plan

All children will be fed at our regular meal time schedule, if they are here at mill times, anytime after specified meal times; parents are responsible for feeding their child/children prior to arrival. Nutritional health of children and educational information is provided to parents in the parent information center. The purpose of the nutrition plan(example… MyPlate) is to help children, families and staff understand the importance of healthy eating to be successful in education and life. We follow the CACFP seasonal meal patterns.


Meal shifts are as followed

Breakfast- 6 AM to 8 AM

A.m. snack- 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Lunch- 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM

P.m. snack- 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM

After school kids hours vary

Dinner- 5 PM to 6:30 PM

P.m. snack- 7 PM to 8 PM


Diet and allergies

At the home visit or initial enrollment or if any changes to date later, please have changes both in writing from the child’s physician and verbally inform us up on arrival. It is very important to inform the office of any food restrictions or food allergies at time of enrollment. A formal be provided for parents to complete for each child if needed. you requested to complete our food program enrollment application at the time of enrollment. All meals are provided through the CACFP nutrition food program. Special request please check with the director.


Food service/meals

This childcare participates in the CACFP food program. Mills me through Carmen sit by the CACFP. The meal served are served at specific time frames and children we serve nutritious meals and snacks.  Children that are on special diets refuse the meal served will be off for the next meal when it is served to receive a different item or bring food from home. (* See Food program for specific details of meals served).


Food and treats from home

Unfortunately, homemade prepared goodies cannot be brought from home. This is a child care regulation. If you wish to centuries with your child to share for special occasions such as Valentine’s Day, the child’s birthday, etc.., The items must be commercially prepared and individually wrapped. PLEASE no gum is allowed at child care facility!!! It is a choking hazard. It also gets into carpet and want to furniture in children have this horrible tendency to “share it”
